National Craft Butchers Launches New Food Hygiene Management System

After launching our award-winning coordinated partnership with Horsham district council in 2013, NCB’s Assured advice has become a key part of butcher’s shops throughout the country.

We have now launched a specific food safety management system for Butchers. As the only comprehensive advice designed specifically for butchers it provides key clarity on all aspects of food safety within their businesses.

Developed with NCB’s primary authority partners Horsham District Council, and member advice service Safer Food Scores, this is intended as a one-stop reference guide for butchers and their teams, providing the guidance to ensure that both compliance and best practice standards can be achieved in all areas of retail butchery.

It offers protection on areas of your trade that EHO’s may be less experienced in and will help you train your team. National Craft Butchers have also announced that they are expanding their assured advice with Health and Safety and Trading Standards assured advice soon joining the Food hygiene advice. The Health and Safety Assured advice is currently being developed and will be launched in early summer. NCB have also formed a co-ordinated partnership for Trading Standards with East Sussex Council and work will soon start on assured advice that will cover all areas of Labelling plus weights and measures.
