Celebrate Porktober with Scottish Craft Butchers and National Craft Butchers

October 2023 is Porktober, a month-long campaign to celebrate the quality, versatility and affordability of pork. National Craft Butchers are joining Scottish Craft Butchers this year to promote the nutritional and value attributes of pork in support of British pig farmers.

Pork is a lean and protein-rich meat that can be enjoyed in many ways, from roasts and chops to sausages and pies. It is also a source of essential vitamins and minerals, such as iron, zinc, selenium and B vitamins. Pork can help support a healthy and balanced diet, as well as being delicious and satisfying.

During Porktober, Scottish Craft Butchers and National Craft Butchers members will be showcasing their pork products with special offers, recipes, tips and competitions. Customers can also look out for the #porktober hashtag on social media to join the conversation and share their pork experiences.
