Team GB Butchery — UK Lions Squad announced for the World Butchers Challenge — Australia 2028
The Team GB Butchery — UK Lions Board is proud to announce the squad selected to represent Great Britain at the World Butchers Challenge in Australia 2028. These talented butchers were chosen for their exceptional skill, consistency and drive — and mark the start of an ambitious programme of training, competition and public engagement in the run-up to 2028.
Key dates and appearances
- Initial squad meet-up — Ringrose Farm: Sunday 17 May 2026. The day will include introductions, team bonding, clay pigeon shooting and a BBQ. Squad members and sponsors attend free; other interested parties may attend for a fee.
- Dalziel’s Butchers Show: 13–14 June 2026 — the squad will be in attendance.
- Smoke & Fire Festival — Butcher Wars: 15–16 August 2026 — public competition and engagement opportunities.
The UK Lions will compete nationally and internationally, engage the public through live demonstrations and events, and produce regular content to showcase the craft of butchery and the team’s journey to Australia 2028.
