DB Foods Appoints Adrian Lyons as Managing Director
DB Foods has announced the appointment of Adrian Lyons as its new Managing Director, marking an important step in the company’s next phase of growth.
Adrian brings extensive experience across food manufacturing, sales, operations, and business transformation, having held senior leadership roles across a number of large and complex food businesses. His background spans sales leadership, operational management, and turnaround environments, giving him a deep understanding of how to build sustainable, people-led organisations.
Having started his career working in a butcher’s shop before moving into sales roles across the toy and food industries, Adrian later spent over 15 years with Grampian Country Food Group, progressing from sales into senior leadership and operations. He has since led major change programmes, carve outs, and transformation projects within the food sector.
Commenting on his appointment, Adrian Lyons said:
“DB Foods is already a significant business with real scale, strong backing, and some very good people. What attracted me was the opportunity to give the business clear direction, align teams behind shared objectives, and create an environment where people can be the best version of themselves.”
Adrian’s leadership approach is firmly rooted in integrity, openness, and delivery.
“Doing what we say we’re going to do is fundamental, whether that’s with customers, suppliers, or our own teams. If you get behaviour right, performance follows”
Looking ahead, Adrian is focused less on headline numbers and more on building a business people actively want to be part of.
“Great businesses are the ones people want to work for, suppliers want to supply, and customers trust. If we get that right, the financial results will come as a consequence”
Under his leadership, customers can expect openness, visibility, and a strong focus on service and solutions.
“I want our customers to see our people as the experts, trusted partners who listen, communicate clearly, and deliver consistently”
Adrian also highlighted the importance of celebrating success across the entire organisation.
“The last ten yards of any business are delivered by the people on the factory floor, in warehouses, and in support teams. Success should always be shared and recognised.”
DB Foods’ leadership team said the appointment reflects the company’s commitment to investing in people, strengthening culture, and building long-term partnerships with customers and suppliers.
